They just say that because most people try it in their teens, so if they’re going to be come smokers, they know earlier. But you can start at any age, if that’s what you want. I’ve seen people start in their 20’s and 30’s. If you start now, you’ll probably become a smoker (though some people never take to it). But — why give in to pressure? If it’s something *you* want to do, fine, it’s your life and you know the risks, but pressure? I don’t know the nature of it, but I’d think twice before giving in.

That is the dumbest thing I can think of. I quit more than 2 months ago, and I would never recommend it to anyone! Save your life, and your health and don't start!!

Omg! Take it from virtually every person who has ever become a "regular smoker" : it is so not worth it! Even ruling out the incredible expense, and the fact that it makes you a social pariah, there are the health issues to deal with as well. Why do you want these things? Put them down now, while you still can!!

Don't do it, I've been a smoker since I was 8 yes 8 and I wish I never had. The addiction is stronger than any other drug and if you manage to kick the habit, then you're one of the lucky ones.
