Does the new federal cigarette tax increase include other types of tobacco such as smokeless?

I bought a can today and payed the normal price so idk

My husband works at a warehouse where they pick cigarrettes and what not.
He says that yes the tax is on all tobacco products.

    Yeah, the new tax includes all forms of tobacco. There’s also a one-time excise in "floor stock" so that all sales from today onwards should reflect the increased tax. Oddly, "large cigars" were excluded from the excise on floor stock.

    It’s possible that the retailer had not got the word on the tax increase or someone screwed up with the pricing. You should have paid the higher price on a purchase today.

    It’s suppose to include all tobacco products. I think now we’ll see a big influx of people smoking electronic cigarettes. The government doesn’t have any control on these and they’re so much cheaper too. http://ecigarets.com
