Okay Rob. As you requested. Newport. Tastes fresher. Like the bottom of a boat. How is it possible that this is the #2 cigarette brand in the US? Does this mean that Winston no longer tastes good *knock knock* like a cigarette should? Or that people realized they ran out of breath if they tried walking a mile for a Camel? One curious fact: CBS, Newport cigarettes, and Bulova watches were at one point under the same ownership together. By the way, is that subliminal advertising or what?!! Buy Newport and this “smoking” hot blonde will be pleased.

Is it Burger Chef?
I’ll never forgive Hardee’s for swallowing Burger Chef up and making it disappear.
Hardee’s tried to swallow Roy Rogers restaurants up and make them into Hardee’s restaurants – within months, customers were so ticked off that Hardee’s had to change those Hardee’s back to Roy Rogers!
the only thing that …
the only thing that hasn’t changed is the symbol on the package..
Lorillard Tobacco [ ...
Lorillard Tobacco [Newport] was the “alternate sponsor” of “PETTICOAT JUNCTION” during the 1964-’65 season; Procter & Gamble was the primary sponsor from 1963 through ’67. This is from ’65 because Newport’s jingle was “Newport Tastes Fresher!” during 1965-’66.
