No idea. However, if you are in Palatine, it worth the trip across Lake-Cook Road to get cigarettes, as the Cook County Tax no longer applies. This is at most a 10 minute drive.

There is now a another $1 amounted to the pack of cigarettes in Cook County it is no $8.36 to buy a pack of cigarettes, while in DuPage is $7.36
I want to petition against this injustice.
How many signatures do I need and who do I mail it to?

Usually there are laws in your state that says how many people can start a petition and override the government’s ruling. Talk to your state history teacher. Most state history books gives an idea of the procedures. That should get you started.

Then you would have a long fight in trying to get everyone to sign it.
