Well honestly any cigarette smoking is too much. But if you look at it on the average 5 cigarettes a day isn’t as many as most smokers. Quiting is something very different and personal for everyone. If you do have the strength to quit it could take many many many tried or for some it may not be as difficult. It’s more up to the individual and the quiting method they choose.

Every time I see a French person, I see a cigarette in their hand. How common is it for French people to smoke cigarettes?
Yes I would have said about 30%, more if you count people who like to smoke cannabis once a while. There are less and less smokers now cause cigarettes are expensive. 30% is still a lot, but it was about 50% some years ago (like in the 70′s).
But a lot of young people smoke (50%) at school and then stop when they are older. I used to smoke myself when I was 12. I stopped at 16.
I sometimes have the same feeling than you, cause most of my friends are smokers ( more than 90%).

I dont smoke cigarettes, but I enjoy smoking weed with friends sometimes. Can it give you wrinkles faster than a cigarette? I know of a girl who’s about my age but she looks way older, in her face. I wonder if its bcuz of weed.

I just bought a cool gambling machine at a garage sale. It is a small slot machine that took pennies. The spinners have pictures of different cigarette brands on them and if you line up three of a kind, the machine gave you a token good for a pack of 15 cent cigarettes. So… I’m trying to figure out WHEN this was from.
I asked my mom and she said the cheapest she can remember was in the and 60s. She was a teenager then and she and her friends smoked a little because they thought it made them look suave. They were 25 cents for non-filter and 30 cents for filter.

Once a week me and a ton of friends go to a hookah bar (yes we’re legal) and smoke for a few hours.We were just wondering if smoking hookah is worse than smoking cigarettes,and which one is more likely to give you cancer.
theres not a lot of scientific evidence here.. i did a report on this in college.. what i found was,…well, complicated
-hookah is cooler, cleaner smoke, but no "real" filter
-cigarettes have more harmful chemicals, but they have filters.
-hookah has less nicotine and chemicals, but have honey and other products that can be unhealthy and leave junk in your lungs (dont use anything other than water in the base of your hookah, youll just put more unhealthy fumes into your lungs)
-cigarettes are more addictive..
-hookah is a slow, less convient smoke, so people don’t get hooked easily.
it depends on you, if u just smoke a bowl once a week, it wont even compare to cigarettes. But like anything, too much will result in a unhealthy situation

At one time smoking was considered to cool. Or if you smoked, you were considered a tough guy. Nobody would mess with you. So I am assuming the connection between the two is, criminals smoke as a form of showing their toughness. Being cool to their buddies.
The reason I first started, I wanted to be like my sister whop smoked, and most of my friends smoked too, so it was only natural that I smoked too. It was "cool" thing to do. Only difference is, none of us committed any crimes. We never considered ourselves tough. But we were girls though, so maybe it”s different for us.
