The smoking is not only harmful to the smokers but also the people standing near bye. I have seen lot of people smoking carrying their babies.
I welcome people to stay home if they don’t like people smoking. It’s not a perfect world. If you don’t like what you see, stay home in your nice clean house.
I drive a 1994 Acura Integra LS and my cigarette lighter doesn’t work. Apparently the person who installed my cd player cut the wiring to the cigarette lighter and now there is nothing to connect it to. Where should I hard wire it to and how do I go about doing this? Thank you in advance for all your thoughts and suggestions.
Run a heavy wire, 12 gauge or less (the lighter uses a lot of current), to an unfused line that goes to a heavy draw accessory such as the headlights (on the battery side of the switch, of course). The circuit you connect it to should be on all the time and not be controlled by a switch. BE SURE TO DISCONNECT THE + SIDE OF THE BATTERY BEFORE FOOLING WITH THE WIRING!
Good luck.
ok, so ive been using a machine and cigarette tubes to make my cigarettes. But what is the best tobacco to use to get a cigarette similar to camel filters?
This link has a blend that is supposed to be similar to Camel.

The blend mentioned above uses D&R tobaccos which can be found here:

This is the main page of the RYO forum. There is a lot of information there.

Every time I see a French person, I see a cigarette in their hand. How common is it for French people to smoke cigarettes?
Yes I would have said about 30%, more if you count people who like to smoke cannabis once a while. There are less and less smokers now cause cigarettes are expensive. 30% is still a lot, but it was about 50% some years ago (like in the 70′s).
But a lot of young people smoke (50%) at school and then stop when they are older. I used to smoke myself when I was 12. I stopped at 16.
I sometimes have the same feeling than you, cause most of my friends are smokers ( more than 90%).
I have a 93 toyota paseo, and it didn’t come with a cigarette lighter at all, like there is no hole or socket or nothing. Im wondering how much would it cost to have one put in? And would it take a lot of time?
This is for curiosity’s sake, and no its not for smoking but for my gps and other stuff.
it will cost $14,000 …… trust me i know
For example, if I connect my GPS or an FM transmitter to the cigarette lighter to power it, would my car battery drain of power or does it barely make a difference??
PS: I mean, if I use these gadgets while driving and unplug them when I turn my car off.
(I am driving about 1.5 hours per day.)
Also, I never leave anything plugged into the cigarette lighter when I’m not in the car, in fear that my car will get broken into.
If you turn whatever you have plugged in off, it shouldn’t cause a drain. It will if it is left on. How long the battery will last with something draining it depends on what is using the battery power. A GPS doesn’t take a lot of power to run. If you have a good battery in your car, it should last several hours before it pulls it down.
Once a week me and a ton of friends go to a hookah bar (yes we’re legal) and smoke for a few hours. We were just wondering if smoking hookah is worse than smoking cigarettes, and which one is more likely to give you cancer.
theres not a lot of scientific evidence here.. i did a report on this in college.. what i found was,…well, complicated
-hookah is cooler, cleaner smoke, but no "real" filter
-cigarettes have more harmful chemicals, but they have filters.
-hookah has less nicotine and chemicals, but have honey and other products that can be unhealthy and leave junk in your lungs (dont use anything other than water in the base of your hookah, youll just put more unhealthy fumes into your lungs)
-cigarettes are more addictive..
-hookah is a slow, less convient smoke, so people don’t get hooked easily.
it depends on you, if u just smoke a bowl once a week, it wont even compare to cigarettes. But like anything, too much will result in a unhealthy situation
Not many people deal with the question between light and frequent cigarette smoking in the smoking debate, rather just say that smoking is bad. I’m just wondering if anyone has any actual evidence showing if or if not there are significant differences in results of light smoking versus frequent smoking. Thanks
The damage caused by smoking is cumulative. So even if you smoke only a few cigarettes a day or just a pack on Friday night when you go play pool, repeatedly doing so puts you right up there in the danger area.
My brand of cigarettes just went up $7.00 a carton and will go up another $6.20 April 1st for the new tax. I am done with cigarettes! Have a doctor’s appointment to get Chantix.
Besides why should I as a smoker pay for someone else’s child health care? I take care of my own already.
If more people quit smoking how will they pay for the enormous cost?
I am going to quit for sure. I think it is absolutely ridiculous. I feel like the government is dictating what people should do because of the very high increase. I am not even quitting because of the price, I am quitting out of pure principle that I do not want the government to touch a penny of mine because of this tax.
I think a lot of smoker’s will finally wise up and plan to quit. There will probably be some people who will not quit but I hope at lease 30 percent decide to quit. I think the government made a big mistake on raising cigarettes this much. Some would say that it will save money in the long run because of health problems but, you could debate that forever. For example, you could say that the government should tax fast food because it could save money in the long run.
The government is going to hurt more business because of this, something which is probably not a good idea now. The government is just going to find something else to tax after they find out this does not work and probably think why they did this to smokers in the first place. So come on anti-smokers, TELL ME HOW WRONG I AM AND GIVE ME A THUMBS DOWN!!!!
It is a statutory warning and everybody can read them, so why do they manufacture cigarettes?
There are multiple reasons why cigarettes are manufactured.
First of all, there is a lot of money that goes into lobbying by tobacco manufacturers and states make a huge amount of money off cigarette taxes. That removes any incentive by the state to outlaw the manufacture and distribution of tobacco.
Second, it’s not the state’s responsibility to outlaw products that are unhealthy. There are many products out there that are unhealthy or can be used in unhealthy ways, however it’s an individual’s responsibility to use them wisely.
Third, cigarette sales are banned to minors and they do have the warning labels on them. In this day and age, there is no excuse that anyone doesn’t know the dangers of smoking. At that point, if an adult decides they want to smoke themselves to death, it is up to them.
