Can cigarette tobacco cut into your skin?

I just smoked 2 cigarettes, and I put the butts in my pocket.
When I reached into my pocket to throw them away, OUCH! I think the tobacco cut my skin? I cannot tell, it’s not bleeding, nor can I see any cuts. Maybe it was a burn or something? But I don’t know. Please answer :) .

well it didn’t cut you if there are no marks. probably a burn. and why would put the butts in your pocket, your supposed to throw them away
